Chair One (re) vs. Chair One

What’s the Difference?

Meet the Chair One (re), a reimagining of our award-winning Chair One. Both are lightweight, packable, and built to last, but the Chair One (re) takes comfort, frame strength, and sustainability to the next level.

Here's how they compare:

Comfort

Building on the features of our original Chair One, the Chair One (re) seat is even more comfortable. We created (re)Tension Design, adding a second tension line within the perimeter of the chair to redistribute weight around the frame for improved support.

Sustainability

The frame of the Chair One (re) is made from (re)Form Aluminum—sustainably crafted using aluminum shavings that would otherwise be discarded. This design minimizes waste and lowers our environmental impact.

Chair One (re)

Expanding on the sustainable practices of the Chair One, the alloy discs
used to craft the (re) frames are partly made from aluminum

shavings that would otherwise go to waste.

Chair One

Uses Green Anodized DAC aluminum alloy, a more environmentally friendly

anodizing process than other DAC alloys.

Summary

Which One Should You Choose?

  • Go with the Chair One if: You want a lighter, most packable option and don’t need the added seat height or extra features.

  • Go with the Chair One (re) if: You prioritize comfort, stability, and sustainability, and don’t mind a small weight increase. The taller seat makes getting in and out easier, and the pocket ensures everything you need is within reach.

Both are excellent choices, but Chair One (re) excels in all-day comfort and accessibility, while

Chair One is the better pick for compactness and lighter portability.
